Vinakras
In the wine cellar VINAKRAS SEŽANA they develop viticulture and enology in accordance with the natural features offered by the Kras environment. They do this in the most ecologically appropriate way, thus maintaining a quality environment for future generations.
The Karst wine–growing district lies in the central part of Primorska, in the area of the Trieste–Komen Karst, Vrhe and upper part of the Branica river basin. With an area of 575 hectares, it is the smallest wine–growing district in Slovenia. The KARST region is also called the land of Teran.
The characteristic terra rossa or jerina red soil, rich in minerals and iron, has a significant effect on the growth of vines in the Karst wine–growing district, as reflected in Karst wines.
