On Tuesday, Ljubljana hosted the traditional Decanter Winners Salon 2023, which showcased the 42 winemakers who won awards at this year’s Decanter London Jubilee judging, where 18,250 wines were judged in front of 236 judges.
Brda was at the forefront
There were no top awards for Slovenian wines in Decanter’s 20th anniversary judging this year, but there was plenty to go around. They won 195 medals: 12 gold, 80 silver and 103 bronze. Ten gold medals for a score of 95 points went to wines from the Primorska region.
