Description

Manual harvest. The grapes are squeezed under low pressure. The must cool to 10 ° C. After 24-hour sorts, pure must pour into stainless steel containers in which it boils into wine. The fermentation is followed by a quick flow to keep the wine from fruit. No biological breakdown. They bottle wine in the summer of the year after harvest.

It is a gentle lemon color, the smell of yellow apples, a touch of dried herbs with pleasant youthful freshness. The taste may be dominated by a slight butter, but otherwise it is a delicious aperitizing rebula. With a long decline.

Ferdinand wine house is led by Matjaž Četrtič, an agronomist who wanted to become a wine-maker from an early age. He brought a family wine growing tradition back to life from the times when his great grandfather was making wine very successfully.

They try to understand every vine site and its micro-climate to see which one is best suited for a certain variety; choosing optimum locations and yields and best harvest time. This is how they can grow the best grapes and turn them into unique wines in such a spontaneous and natural way.

Wines are superb in style & technique and have a very personal, unique note as well, reflecting their love for nature and passion for wines and winemaking. They are simply special.
