At the beginning of February, we held a guided wine tasting of Malvasia in our wine cellar. The tasting took us through 10 different types of malvasia, divided into four different categories; sparkling, fresh, barrique and macerated. Alongside the different styles of wine, we enjoyed a selection of snacks that highlighted and complemented the flavours of the wines. Our wine tasting was enriched by a special guest – the oenologist of the Steras winery, Tilen Praprotnik. With enthusiasm and knowledge, he introduced each style of wine, explained the production processes and highlighted the key characteristics of each wine. We drank Sanabor Pallidia, Cigoj malvasia, Steras malvasia, Stokelj malvasia, Batič malvasia Selekcija, Steras nakvazija Skaron, Santomas malvasia Antonius, Slavček malvasia Reserve, Steras malvasia Kocinski and Kristancic malvasia Artwork.
