Santomas Malvazija Antonius
Description
It is a two-year genre. Fermentation and maceration for a few days take place in the inoculum. The wine is then transferred to 500 litre acacia barrels, where it is matured for about one year, after which it goes into concrete eggs, where it is matured for at least half a year. The second vintage, which is blended in, is matured in acacia barrels only. The 2020 vintage, which has been in both acacia and concrete, is very defined, very soft, very open. The second vintage, 2021, which was only in acacia, added stability, grounded it. Filled without filtration.
Deep golden-yellow in colour, the bouquet offers beautifully intertwined honeyed sensations, with a clear but fine balsamic note and a hint of dried herbs. On the palate, it is dry, salty, moderately acidic, intense and with a long aftertaste.
