Description

After the optimally ripe grapes were harvested, maceration took place for about 10 days during the fermentation period, after which the wine was aged for a further 18 months in second-hand barriques. Bottled without filtration.

It is ruby red in colour. The aroma is reminiscent of red berries, dry spices and leather. Taste fresh, higher acids, pleasantly soft tannins, drinkable.

In the westernmost part of Slovenia, in the Goriška Brda wine region, is the small village of Zali Breg, known for its fine wines, excellent food and good people. Among the vineyards, olive and fruit groves, you will discover Sosolič’s winery with a long tradition, located on the edge of a hill and with its cheek to the sun. The knowledge and love of the vine has been passed down from generation to generation, as evidenced by their excellent wines.

The farm covers 10 hectares and was taken over from his father Izidor in 1991 by a young farmer, Dominik Sosolič, who is the first in the family to take up viticulture professionally.

Sosolič’s cellar is home to both fresh and mature white and red wines.
