Description
The wine is only from the best vintages, from selected grapes from old vineyards. The harvest for this wine takes place at a later stage, and the grapes are perfectly healthy and already slightly over-ripe.
The rebula and the chardonnay go through two months of uncontrolled maceration. At the same time, fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place. Sauvignonnasse and sauvignon macerate for just a few days at controlled temperatures. After maceration, the wines are aged on the lees for two years in second-hand barriques. This is followed by typing to the taste of the winemaker. Bottled without filtration.
It is deep yellow in colour. The bouquet is ripe, balsamic, and there is a hint of ageing in wooden barrels. On the palate it is structured, buttery, honeyed.
