Description

The wine was aged for 18 months in large slavonian oak barrels and second-hand french oak barriques.

The colour is a medium deep ruby with a beautiful lustre. The nose is open, clean and fruity. The base is made up of notes of fresh red fruits such as raspberries and strawberries, accompanied by a clear spicy note reminiscent of black pepper, dried red peppers and cinnamon.

On the palate it is dry, medium-bodied, lively, more intense in flavour and warm for the vintage. The tannin content is lower, in line with the varietal range.

The Dveri-Pax winery continues the more than 800-year-old Benedictine tradition of winemaking in north-eastern Slovenia. With respect for nature and tradition, and following the trends in the wine industry, they cultivate 73 hectares of their own vineyards.

The vines are cultivated in a nature-friendly way. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently separated from the stalks, and then their knowledge, experience and tradition are successfully combined with the most modern wine-making technologies.

Maturing the grapes results in wines that are characterised by a wonderful harmony of freshness, delicate fruit flavours and the quality of each varietal.
