Description

The grapes for Up come from the best Ščurek vineyards and only in the best vintages. Maceration took place over a period of 3 weeks. The wine was matured for 36 months in new oak barrels.

It is ruby red in colour with garnet hues. The aromas are sumptuous, with ripe red fruits, spices, wood, tobacco, dark chocolate. Full-bodied with fine ripe tannins and a long elegant aftertaste.

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
