Description

Every year after harvest, this is the first wine from the Kristančič cellar.

The harvest for Medana is new to 10 days before regular. The maceration is shorter than in other red varieties, 4 to 5 days under CO2 protection.

Because of this, the wine has no alcohol too high, it is fruity and extremely aromatic. It is best to drink it as soon as possible, at least until the beginning of spring.

Medana in the Goriška Brda. A characteristic village on the top of the hill, with houses spread around the church. On the slopes, the vineyards face the sun. They are small, each has a slightly different orientation towards the sun and is planted a little differently.

Many of these vineyards belong to the family Kristančič. Kristančič’s farmer is one of the oldest in the Brda, and wine has been bottled under the family name since 1988.
