Description

Merlot is a soft, gentle wine of fine taste that has a full varietal characteristic aroma and a beautiful, deep purple color. The smell is intense, rich and distinctly fruity. We detect the smell of ripe red fruits, ripe black berries, and finally a pleasant, gentle leather scent.

In the mouth, the wine is smooth, rounded, full of body with the perception of gentle, ripe tannins.

Medana in the Goriška Brda. A characteristic village on the top of the hill, with houses spread around the church. On the slopes, the vineyards face the sun. They are small, each has a slightly different orientation towards the sun and is planted a little differently.

Many of these vineyards belong to the family Kristančič. Kristančič’s farmer is one of the oldest in the Brda, and wine has been bottled under the family name since 1988.
