Description

In fact, picolite is one of the varieties in Friuli, which is the basis for sweet wines. Kristancic's picolite, however, proves that this wine is also very good on our side of the border.

The wine is amber yellow. It has complex and intense scents (chestnut honey, figs, raisins, vanilla, caramel). The mouth is offered beautiful harmony between sugar and acids, the wine is consistent, clean and long. High alcohol (almost 15 percent) does not disturb the beautiful harmonic image.

Medana in the Goriška Brda. A characteristic village on the top of the hill, with houses spread around the church. On the slopes, the vineyards face the sun. They are small, each has a slightly different orientation towards the sun and is planted a little differently.

Many of these vineyards belong to the family Kristančič. Kristančič’s farmer is one of the oldest in the Brda, and wine has been bottled under the family name since 1988.
