Description

The cold maceration took 6 hours. The wine matured in 400l wooden barrelsfor 4 months and then for 6 months in steel containers.

It is a straw yellow color. The scents are reminiscent of pineapple and peach with slight vanilla perceptions. In the mouth, the wine is full, with a pleasant freshness and warmth.

Ščurek

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
