Description

After the harvest and five days of maceration, the wine is fermented and matured for one year in 600 l oak barrels.

It has a deeper golden-yellow colour, pronounced florality, varietally distinctive, almond, peach, slightly woody. Buttery, balsamic notes on the palate, rich, pleasant acids, oily.

Ščurek

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
