Description

The maceration took 18 days. The wine matured in new and used 500l oak barrels for 24 months.

It is ruby ​​red with light pomegranates. Smells of ripe red fruits, spices, undergrowth ... slightly tannic, full of taste and with a beautiful, long aftertaste.

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.
