Description

The maceration takes 8 days in conical 2500 liter barrels (tino). Wine matures for 10 months in large oak barrels.

It is golden yellow with light green yellow shades. The smells of green peppers, dried elder flowers and ripe fruits. Pleasant, full of taste with beautiful, long aftertaste, pleasantly warm.

Ščurek

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
