Classic method.

Grapes for basic wine comes from the 15 -year old Grotišče vineyard.

Secondary fermentation and maturation take 30 months in the bottle. After the degreing, the same wine was also used as an expedition liqueur.

It is glittering straw yellow. Intense and fine odors where aromas are intertwined with apple and pineapple breadcrumbs. The butter notes are joined by the smell of holiday sweet bread and dried bread crusts. The bubbles are tiny and durable.

Completely dry, rich in emphasized freshness and minerality that leaves a sensation of a bold body in the mouth.

Ščurek

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
