Description

The classic method.

Secondary fermentation and maturation takes place for at least 24 months in the bottle. After the bottling, the same wine was also used as expedition liqueur.

It is a brilliant straw-yellow colour. It has intense and fine aromas of apple and pineapple. The buttery notes are joined by the scent of festive sweet bread and dry bread crust. The bubbles are fine and persistent.

Ščurek

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
