Description

After harvesting at the end of September, maceration takes place in large vats, followed by one year of aging on fine lees in used barrique barrels.

It has a deep ruby color, intense aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of herbs and pepper. On the palate, it is fruity, slightly spicy, full-bodied, with beautiful refined tannins and very nicely expressed ripe notes.

STeraS

The STeraS wine cellar is owned by the Praprotnik family who have been cultivating the vineyards in Kocina near Šared since 1975. According to their father Bojan, their son Tilen is taking over the reins.

The flagship on the farm are Refošk and Malvazija and Tilen is increasingly devoting itself to the old Istrian variaties which will have increasing importance in the future in designing the indentity of the cellar.

The vineyards are cultivated to the principles of organic viticulture, because they believe that this is the only way to ensure sustainbility of our stay on this planet.
