Description

The grapes for Stara brajda white come only from older vineyards. Cold maceration takes place for 24 hours. The wine is then matured for 12 months in new and second-hand 400 and 600 l oak barrels.

It is straw yellow in colour with golden yellow tints. Delicate aromas of ripe fruit, wood and dried flowers. Full-bodied with a pleasant freshness and a long aftertaste.

Ščurek

Goriška Brda is a hilly region in the far west of Slovenia. In this landscape there is the family estate Ščurek. The winery is located in the village of Plešivo, which belongs to the village community Medana.

Today, with the help of five sons, Stojan cultivates 24 hectares of vineyards. Most of the property is in the Italian part of the Brda, and the best positions are Grotišče, Dugo, Mahober, Jazbine, Jordana, Gredič and Kozlink.

Ščurek offers around 90,000 bottles of premium wine annually. Wine nicely emphasize the identity of the family and the country on which the vine grows. Ščurek: wine, art, story, family, tradition.
