Description

Cviček od Fare is the first Cviček to win the Decanter Award at the London Competition.

One of the few cvičeks who, after fermentation is completed, ripens in used oak barrels for 6 months.

The flower is gentle but beautifully varied, especially for cviček. In addition to reddish fruits that are essential for every cviček, we also find a layer of spices and flower notes. There are dry, tame acids in the mouth and with some more body.

The Frelih family’s tradition of viticulture and winemaking is more than a hundred years old. The Frelih family has always been famous for its autocthones cviček, and Josip Frelih was one of the first to bottle cviček.

The winery is located in the Dolenjska wine-growing region. The sunny location, the quality of the soil and the favourable climate are the best suited for the growth of traditional vines for the production of Cviček.

For decades, the tradition has been to grow grapes and produce wines of the best quality. In addition to Cviček, the house’s specialities are sparkling wines made according to the traditional method and wines matured in special oak barriques.
