Description

After maceration and vinification, it is matured for a year and a half in used barriques.

It has a deep ruby colour, intense flowers, dry on the palate, intertwined notes of blackberry and forest undergrowth. Higher acids with beautifully ripe tannins. Aftertaste long and slightly spicy.

Marc

Marc is a family vineyard farm from Slap near Vipava. The vineyards are planted in beautiful sunny locations above the village. Currently, the fourth generation is working in the vineyards.

The village is known as the “village with the most Zelen (autochthonous variety) in the world”, which is why it is given special attention. In addition to autochtonous Zelen, special attention is also paid to the other autochtonous variety Pinela from Vipava, for which the 2019 vintage was awarded with a platinum medal at the Decanter WWA assessment.

The other wines ripening in their cellar also receive respectful attention. Excellent soil, optimal microclimate combined with an ear for vine and wine is their recipe for a successful wine route.
