Description

After handbraging technically ripe grapes, they perform a cold short maceration and gently squeeze it. After the long controlled fermentation, wine is kind of a few months of ripening on its own fine lees. Zelen needs a subtle cellar, as well as its time. Then it pleasantly surprises us.

Medium deep golden yellow. The flower is youthful, spicy, layered, quite accentuated and varietally characteristic. Lime, hay, apricot, dried herbs, sage. Dry, middle body, with a clear oil texture, and a medium -sized acid. Despite 13%, which is large for zelen, it remains on the fresh, just right ripe side.

Marc

Marc is a family vineyard farm from Slap near Vipava. The vineyards are planted in beautiful sunny locations above the village. Currently, the fourth generation is working in the vineyards.

The village is known as the “village with the most Zelen (autochthonous variety) in the world”, which is why it is given special attention. In addition to autochtonous Zelen, special attention is also paid to the other autochtonous variety Pinela from Vipava, for which the 2019 vintage was awarded with a platinum medal at the Decanter WWA assessment.

The other wines ripening in their cellar also receive respectful attention. Excellent soil, optimal microclimate combined with an ear for vine and wine is their recipe for a successful wine route.
