Description

The maceration takes place for 10 days in stainless steel tanks, and alcoholic fermentation is also underway. Wine matures in contact with yeast, 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in used barriers, 10 months.

Merlot is intense pomegranate. On the nose, the wine is recognized by the smell of forest fruits and a slightly barrique note.

In the mouth, the wine is dry, with elegant and ripe tannins. Wine is harmonious, medium -sized character, with a long aftertaste

The Jakončič farm dates back to 1847, when Mihael and Carolina Jakončič planted the first vineyards in the village of Kozana in Goriška Brda, thus laying the foundation for the family winery.
