Description

After fermentation, the wine was aged partly in inox and partly in oak barrels for about one year.

It has a delicate ruby colour, with aromas reminiscent of cherry, overripe wild strawberry and mulberry. The nose is distinctly fruity and pleasantly spicy, with the oak barrel influence elegantly integrated and not overpowering the varietal. The elegance, and especially the juiciness, of the palate is pleasantly surprising and reminiscent of the forest undergrowth that is the hallmark of any true pinot noir.

The grapes are ripened in the famous wine-growing areas of the Štajerska region of Slovenia, more specifically in the Haloze and Srednje Slovenske gorice sub-regions. The vineyards are spread over the steep and mostly terraced slopes of the left and right banks of the river Drava. It ripens on the tops of hills up to 400 m above sea level.

The young team is constantly updated on modern technological developments in wine production and customer requirements. In the future, they aim to become the most successful producers regionally as well as globally.
