Description

The wine was aged for 18 months on fine lees in large 3500l. slavonian oak barrels.

Medium deep golden yellow colour. The flower is subdued, fine, varied. White flowers, butter, a hint of burnt wood, caramel, everything just right, very youthful despite the years. One could say elegant, in the style of Burgundian white wines.

The wine is dry, medium-bodied, the texture is pleasantly oily, the acidity on the higher side quickly tells you that this is a cool region and a variety that expresses this kind of acidity beautifully. It is full-bodied, with plenty of tension, saltiness and persistence. A first-class expression of a ripe pomegranate from an excellent position and a classic vintage.

The Dveri-Pax winery continues the more than 800-year-old Benedictine tradition of winemaking in north-eastern Slovenia. With respect for nature and tradition, and following the trends in the wine industry, they cultivate 73 hectares of their own vineyards.

The vines are cultivated in a nature-friendly way. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently separated from the stalks, and then their knowledge, experience and tradition are successfully combined with the most modern wine-making technologies.
