Description

The grapes for it come from the Radomerje vineyard. The wine was aged for 18 months in new and second-hand 600 l wooden barrels made of slavonian wood on fine lees.

It is deep golden yellow in colour, medium-bodied, with subdued, juicy flowers. It is dry on the palate, and the acids of a grey pinot can quickly run out, but there are more than enough of them in this wine to cope with its bold body and oily texture.

The Dveri-Pax winery continues the more than 800-year-old Benedictine tradition of winemaking in north-eastern Slovenia. With respect for nature and tradition, and following the trends in the wine industry, they cultivate 73 hectares of their own vineyards.

The vines are cultivated in a nature-friendly way. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently separated from the stalks, and then their knowledge, experience and tradition are successfully combined with the most modern wine-making technologies.
