Description

The harvest of fully ripe, slightly over-ripe grapes took place at the end of September from the 30-year-old Mon Royal vineyard. The soil is sandy lapis lazuli.

After fermentation, the wine was matured on fine lees for some time and then for 14 months in 500l oak barrels.

Oily in texture, rich in aroma, fruity notes of wood ageing, light vanilla, ripe peach and pineapple on the palate. Despite the richness, the wine is extremely coherent and of high quality, which is typical of the excellent 2021 vintage in this part of Slovenia.
