Description

The selection mark is only next to the best years.

Separated by varietal, 30 days maceration, hand-dipping of the hat throughout fermentation, followed by pressing with a pneumatic press and then resting for 10 months in inox containers, followed by maturation for a further 24 months in large oak barrels. The finished wine is transferred into inox containers and bottled after one year.

Deep ruby colour, ripe flowers, black cherry, blackberry. Very dry on the palate, with stronger but ripe tannins, flavours of ripe fruit, caramelised sugars with hints of tobacco and dark chocolate.

The Dobuje estate is located in the heart of Brda, on the westernmost edge of Slovenia. As a country, it borders Italy, and the vineyards are intertwined with neighbouring Collio without a dividing line. The hilly landscape is bordered on one side by the Kolovrat and Sabotino ridges, and on the other by the descent towards the Soca river and the Friulian plain.

For six generations, the Dobuje estate has sought to express the harmonious coexistence of man and nature in its wines, which are produced with dedication, passion and responsibility towards people and nature.

By minimising the intervention in the wine, they want to ensure that when tasting it, one senses the harmony that binds all the elements together into a harmonious whole. It is also a reflection of precision, hard work, responsibility, dedication and a thorough knowledge of the vineyards.
