Description

A basic red wine from the Dobuje cellar.

A varietal, always of a fresh vintage, from younger vines. Shorter maceration, fermentation takes place in an inox tank, and the wine is then matured for 6 to 10 months in large used oak barrels.

It is ruby red in colour, full-bodied with a nice rounded acidity.

The Dobuje estate is located in the heart of Brda, on the westernmost edge of Slovenia. As a country, it borders Italy, and the vineyards are intertwined with neighbouring Collio without a dividing line. The hilly landscape is bordered on one side by the Kolovrat and Sabotino ridges, and on the other by the descent towards the Soca river and the Friulian plain.

For six generations, the Dobuje estate has sought to express the harmonious coexistence of man and nature in its wines, which are produced with dedication, passion and responsibility towards people and nature.
