Description

Romantic Red is a wine made from a selection of the best barrels. After 14 days of maceration and fermentation, Merlot and Cabernet are aged for two years in new barrique barrels, while Barbera is aged in used barrels. Before the wine is released on the market, it is aged for another two years in the bottle.

Ruby red in color, with intense ripe raspberry and ripe cherry aromas. Medium-bodied on the palate, fruity, with ripe, not overly powerful tannins and higher but pleasant acidity.

Marc

Marc is a family vineyard farm from Slap near Vipava. The vineyards are planted in beautiful sunny locations above the village. Currently, the fourth generation is working in the vineyards.

The village is known as the “village with the most Zelen (autochthonous variety) in the world”, which is why it is given special attention. In addition to autochtonous Zelen, special attention is also paid to the other autochtonous variety Pinela from Vipava, for which the 2019 vintage was awarded with a platinum medal at the Decanter WWA assessment.

The other wines ripening in their cellar also receive respectful attention. Excellent soil, optimal microclimate combined with an ear for vine and wine is their recipe for a successful wine route.
