The grapes come from an older vineyard, where merlot and barbera vines are planted alternately in rows, or plantations in local parlance. After a two-week maceration in open containers, controlled fermentation at around 25°C, the wine is put into new and partly used barrique barrels for a 24-month maturation period.

The colour is a deeper purple. The bouquet is very lively, fresh reddish fruits, blueberries, blackcurrants, a little spicy, hints of vanilla, wood. On the palate it is dry, vanilla and caramel go over the fruity notes, pleasantly fresh with ripe nicely shaped tannins.
