Description

Pinela is a variety to which the Štokljevs pay special attention. It comes from a 60-year-old vineyard, and in order to preserve its aromatic character, the grapes are cooled first after harvesting. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 13-14°C, and the wine is then aged on fine lees for about 6 months in a stainless steel tank.

The colour is a very delicate lemon. The bouquet is youthful, quite pronounced, with continental fruits, citrus and exotic fruits. On the palate it is tasty, mineral and very characterful, with a lively freshness and a nice length of aftertaste.

The estate is nestled between the finest winegrowing sites on the south edge of the Vipava Valley. Local varieties are the stars of the show, and the legacy of the Pinela variety keeps inspiring their winemaking course.

Pinella always paid special attention, and so it will be in the future.

From Merlot in the younger vineyards they produce excellent Rose which is confirmed by numerous awards.
