Description

The grapes for the modra frankinja blue collection are harvested only in the best locations and only in good vintages, when the grapes are fully ripe. Fermentation takes place at a temperature of between 25 and 30 °C and maceration lasts for three weeks. It is matured for at least 24 months in 225 l oak barrels (barriques), half of which are new and half of which are used.

It has a deeper ruby colour and a rich aroma of ripe red and black fruits, intertwined with spicy notes of black pepper and notes of roast and vanilla. It is typically dry, medium-bodied, rounded and balanced, with a full, varied flavour.
