Description

Vinification takes place in stainless tanks ripens on yeasts.

Furmint is the oldest variety of this environment. It's over 1000 years there. The color is gentle, lemon yellow. The flower is medium emphasized, slightly more fruit and spicy than usual, diverse and inviting. Initially, the smell of juicy pears, typical of the variety, prevails, and then a gentle lemon, a green apple, joins.

It is dry, middle body in the mouth, slightly fuller than usual. Even though the vintage was very warm, the acids are emphasized and the wine is lively, which is expected from furmint.. The wine is delicious, salty with a long aftertaste.

The Dveri-Pax winery continues the more than 800-year-old Benedictine tradition of winemaking in north-eastern Slovenia. With respect for nature and tradition, and following the trends in the wine industry, they cultivate 73 hectares of their own vineyards.

The vines are cultivated in a nature-friendly way. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently separated from the stalks, and then their knowledge, experience and tradition are successfully combined with the most modern wine-making technologies.
