STeraS Zlati cvet
Description
Produced according to organic standards.
The zlati cvet is the title of a slovenian legend about the flowering fern. It is said to bloom every 200 years and whoever finds its flower is very lucky. The association with ferns is more than obvious, as their family name is Praprotnik. The fern flower is rare, as are the indigenous Istrian varieties represented in this wine.
The pinjola and kanarjola are macerated for a week and matured for a further three months in a second-hand oak barrel. The other varieties are aged in inox containers. In january, they are combined together and bottled after a month. The proportion of varieties in the wine is determined by the winemaker each year.
It is golden yellow in colour, the flowers resemble dried apricots ripe apples. On the palate it is dry, oily in texture, moderate acidity, medium-bodied.
A true Mediterranean character.
